What is the minimum storage term?
The minimum storage term is 1 month. All units are rented on a monthly basis.
What is the minimum charge period?
The minimum charge period is 1 month. Charges apply per full calendar month of storage.
Can I store for longer than one month?
Yes. After the initial 1 month minimum period, storage continues on a flexible month-to-month basis for as long as you need.
How do I choose the right storage unit size?
Our unit size descriptions provides details of what each unit size can accommodate. We offer units suitable for household items, furniture, business stock and boxes. If you need assistance we can help you in your selection.
Do I need to give notice to move out?
Yes. Please provide 14 days advance notice before vacating your unit. Log in to your account to do this or contact us and we'll guide you through the move-out process.
What kind of security is in place at Whincup Self Storage?
Whincup Self Storage takes pride in ensuring that your goods are safe and secure whilst they are stored with us.
Our facility is protected 24 hours a day via monitored intruder and fire alarm systems.
You have your own unique access code and the units are padlocked with your own lock, so only you have access to your room.
Alongside this we have a fenced and gated car park with security barriers.
When can I access my storage unit?
You can access your unit from 6am to 10pm everyday of the year, making it easy to load or unload when convenient.
Are there items I cannot store?
For safety reasons, you cannot store flammable items, hazardous materials, counterfeit or illegal goods, explosives, perishable foods and large amounts of lithium batteries.
Do you offer business storage?
Yes. We offer business storage solutions ideal for stock, tools, equipment, documents and seasonal items.
Is insurance required?
Insurance for your items is required for your items stored with Whincup Self Storage. We offer protection of your possessions through Store Protect. If you choose alternative cover we need a copy within 24 hours of moving in. Please ensure that you take adequate cover and do not under insure items.
